Fall 2022: Design Principles Studio
For this project, we had to create a lamp out of materials that were able to be cut with a basic pair of scissors based off of a specific design style. This allowed our creativity to thrive as we had to be extremely innovative in how we built and created a working product. My chosen design style was pop art, and I ended up creating a TV box-style lamp out of cardboard and duct tape, with the “OMG,” knobs, and antenna hearts made out of clay. On each of the sides were comic-style characters with text boxes to reinforce the style and bring the lamp together.
