Fall 2024: Independent Study
Below are all photos taken of different floors in the Chigi palace, which is taken as direct inspiration for the completed nails above. Bernini was a famous Italian architect and sculptor in the 1600’s, and with his pupil Carlo Fontana they both designed the interior of this palace in Italy. Bernini and the palace have served the design world as a main precedent and will continue to do so, as what was done was revolutionary for its time. More nail sets will be finished soon as a part of an independent study I’m taking part in, and when finished they will be displayed on 3D printed replicas of hands that Bernini sculpted himself.
